Cultural patronage

Alongside its actions in the sporting field, La Royale Investissements France also works for the preservation and promotion of culture in Alsace. Through patronage initiatives, we support artistic and cultural projects which contribute to the enrichment of local heritage. Our objective is to promote access to culture for all and to energize the regional artistic scene, by promoting talents and contributing to the development of local communities.

The Elephant, a sculpture by Joël Vallon at the entrance to the town of Molsheim. To pay tribute to the Bugatti heritage in Molsheim, Joan Beaufort, President of La Royale Investissements France, donated to the city the statue “The Elephant”, a monumental work by French artist Joël Vallon. Displayed at the entrance to the city, the statue directly refers to the sculptor Rembrandt Bugatti, brother of automobile pioneer Ettore Bugatti, famous for his animal sculptures. No less than 180 hours were necessary for Joël Vallon to sculpt “The Elephant”, designed in iron concrete, and which measures 3.7 meters high on a base 1.3 meters in diameter. With this monumental work, the artist aims to create an open-air art gallery, while paying homage to the “Bugatti” brand.

Inaugurated on Friday August 23 in the presence of the mayor of Molsheim, Laurent Furst, the artist Joël Vallon, the President of the Enthousiastes of Bugatti Alsace, Gérard Burck, and Joan Beaufort, the sculpture offers the inhabitants of the town the promise of an artistic encounter in Molsheim.

The statue “The Elephant”, sculpted by Joël Vallon, was inaugurated on August 23, 2024 at the entrance to Molsheim.

A speech of Laurent Furst, Mayor of Molsheim

« « Molsheim has always been my heart city. Elected mayor in 1995 when I was 30, I saw its inhabitants grow and sometimes leave us for other horizons. Joan Beaufort is a child of Molsheim, he lived there until he was 18 and then left to travel the world with the ambition to succeed. Today he is a recognized industrialist in the world of technology, Fintech and Gaming. Even though he is developing his activities in Singapore, he has not forgotten his origins and invests in local businesses in our magnificent city center. Its goal is to rehabilitate beautiful buildings and energize our city. He also sponsors our handball club. When I told him about my desire to see the sculpture The Elephant, created by another local child, Joël Vallon, remain in Molsheim, he immediately agreed to acquire it and donate it to the town. I am proud of this man who considers it his duty to invest locally in his hometown. I would like to thank him for this philanthropic approach », » Laurent Furst, mayor of Molsheim.
